Fields In Bloom - Color Combo

Wow, the Fields In Bloom Stamp Set is amazing. I made this pretty card with it using this week’s Color Combo from my July Inspiration Calendar - Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Lost Lagoon.

Here’s the stamp set. You stamp the greenery field image in one color first, then stamp the floral image on top in another color—it’s that easy!  I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color the flowers directly on the stamp to get the two different colors.

Tips & Instructions

  • Lost Lagoon Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5 1/4

  • Stamp the greenery image in Lost Lagoon. Color the flowers directly on the stamp with Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Write Markers. Be sure you don’t use Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers, they won’t work.
Tip - Use a Stamp Positioning Tool like a Misti to stamp so you can stamp multiple times.

  • Stamp the cloud images in Lost Lagoon but stamp off twice on scrap paper to get a light shade.

  • Wrap ribbon around the layer and adhere it to the back of the layer. Adhere the layer to the card base.

  • Stamp sentiment on Basic White in Bubble Bath ink and punch using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. The stamp set is from the So Sincere Stamp Set.

  • Punch another hexagon from Lost Lagoon and cut it in half. Spread it apart and adhere behind the white label to create a border. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Tie a bow and adhere to the card with a Glue Dot.

  • Add some Lemon Lolly Rainbow Dots.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp sentiment in Lost Lagoon Ink. Stamp the greenery image in Lost Lagoon ink. Color the flowers with Lemon Lolly and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Write Markers directly on the stamp and stamp over the greenery image.

I love how pretty the card is with the field of flowers; it’s a perfect card to lift someone’s spirits.
