Sketch Saturday - Cheerful Daisies Retirement Card

I made this Retirement Card for my neighbor who just retired and I used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch as my inspiration.

Here’s the sketch I used. I love daisies so the Cheerful Daisies products worked so well for this week’s challenge.

Tips & Instructions

  • Blackberry Bliss Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5 1/4, emboss using the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card base.

  • Basic White - use the 2nd largest die from the Countryside Corners Dies and lightly blend Azure Afternoon ink with a Blending Brush. Adhere to the card.

  • Stamp 3 daisies using the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set on Basic White. I used Black Memento ink for the outline stamp and Lemon Lolly ink for the filler. Stamp the center in Blackberry Bliss ink. Die cut with coordinating dies.

  • Die cut 3 branches from Blackberry Bliss and 3 sets of leaves from Granny Apple Green. Tip, I put a strip of cardstock just under the leaves of the large die to get just the leaves.

  • Adhere the daisies to the card using a Dimensional at the center of each. Adhere the branches and leaves to the card just under the daisies.

  • Die cut the second from smallest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. The sentiment is from the Pocket Thoughts Stamp Set.

  • Add some Iridescent Faceted Gems.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink The sentiment is from the Gone Fishing Stamp Set. Stamp a daisy on the bottom corner.

I love the flowers against the blue layer and the embossed layer.
