Do you like to use stencils? I never think to use them but they do create such a pretty background. The Linked Together Bundle includes a stamp set, dies and decorative masks (stencils) and I used them all to create this sweet card.
I made this for the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. Here’s the sketch I used.
Tips & Instructions
Azure Afternoon Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Basic White Layer - 3 3/4 x 5
Blackberry Bliss Layer - 3 5/8 x 4 7/8
Basic White Layer - 3 1/2 x 4 3/4, use one of the Linked Together Decorative Masks, Azure Afternoon Ink and a Blending Brush to lightly create the background. Play on scrap paper to decide which mask to use.
Die cut the oval from Basic White using the Linked Together Decorative Dies and adhere to the stenciled layer.
Die cut some branches from Granny Apple Green and flowers from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. Adhere to the oval.
Adhere the layers together and then to the card base.
Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2” strip of Basic White and stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Add some Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems to the flower centers.
For the inside layer I added a 4 x 5 1/4 Blackberry Bliss layer and then a 3 3/4 x 5 Basic White layer. Die cut another branch from Granny Apple Green and flowers from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. I die cut 3 more flowers from Petunia Pop to get the centers. Adhere these to the white layer. Adhere the white layer to the Blackberry Bliss layer and then to the inside of the card base.
I love the Blackberry Bliss flowers against the soft background layer, so pretty.
