Country Flowers Color Combo

My neighbor asked me to make a card for her son’s engagement and I decided to make one using this week’s color combo and the Country Flowers Bundle.

Tips & Instructions

  • Smoky Slate Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4.

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5 1/4, adhere to the card base.

  • Country Lace Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4 x 5, adhere to the card.

  • Stamp the jug on a piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock in Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut with the coordinating die.

  • Die cut a bunch of flowers from Pretty in Pink Cardstock.

  • Die cut a bunch of leaves from the light gray pattern from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper. I cut 2 of the large groupings of leaves to use as the base.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2” strip of Basic White in Blackberry Bliss ink. The sentiment is from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set.

  • Adhere the stool and jug to the card.

  • Arrange the leaves and flowers and adhere to the card. I used Mini Dimensionals for some of the top flowers. Make sure there is room for the sentiment.

  • Adhere the sentiment to the card using Dimensionals.

  • Add some small Blackberry Bliss Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and the leaves in Smoky Slate ink. I used the Lifetime of Love Stamp Set for the inside.

When I’m working on a color combo, I always search on the Stampin’ Up! website for the colors to see what products have those colors. I was happy to see the different patterns of Smoky Slate and used 3 patterns on this card.
