Sketch Challenge - Woven Textures

The Woven Textures Designer Series Paper has such realistic weaved patterns, you almost expect it to be rough at your touch. It’s great for masculine cards.

The sketch is from the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Early Espresso Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic Beige Layer - 4 x 5 1/4

  • Cut pieces of Woven Textures Designer Series Paper and adhere them to the Basic Beige Layer leaving a border around each piece. I cut the pieces at:

    • Top left - 1 1/4 x 2 1/2

    • Top right - 1 1/2 x 2 1/2

    • Center - 1 x 1 7/16

    • Bottom left - 2 1/2 x 2 3/4

    • Bottom right - 1 x 3 1/2

  • Adhere the layer to the card.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Basic Beige Cardstock in Early Expresso ink and punch using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.

  • Punch a second hexagon from Early Espresso Cardstock. Cut in half and adhere behind the sentiment label, spreading the pieces apart to create a mat for the label. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Add Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots to the sentiment label.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso. The inside sentiment is from the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set. Adhere a 3/4 x 4 strip of Designer Series Paper to the bottom.

I love all the textures on this card!
