Sketch Challenge - Hearts of Elegance

This was such a fun card to make. I love the gold accents in the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper and the gold hearts and gold embossed sentiments; so elegant!

I made the card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. Click on the sketch to see the other projects posted for this week.

Tips & Instructions

  • Melon Mambo Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 4 x 5 1/4

  • Die cut two of the hearts (one with the embossing and the other with the stitching) from Gold Foil using the Hearts of Elegance Dies.

  • Die cut 3 hearts from the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.

  • Arrange and adhere the hearts to the white layer and adhere the layer to the card base.

  • Stamp the lots of love sentiment on 3/4” strip of Basic White in Versarmark ink and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder.

  • Stamp the xoxo sentiment on a 1/2” strip of Basic White in Versarmark ink and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder.

  • Banner the ends of the sentiment strips and adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4) stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. Die cut a heart and adhere to the bottom corner. Adhere 2 Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins to the top corner.

I love the embossing on large heart, so pretty. The die will emboss it with one pass through your machine.
