Are you a music lover? This stamp set is just what you need. I had to make a “just a note of thanks” card with it.

There are so many ways you can use this set. Birds on a wire, notes, a piano, a guitar (see my post on Tuesday). The sentiments are clean and simple.

Tips & Instructions

• Basic Gray Card Base - 4 1/4 x 11, score at 5 1/2 (side folding, horizontal)

• Rococo Rose Layer - 5 1/2 x 3 1/4

• Whisper White Layer - 5 1/2 x 3

• Stamp the staff image across the Whisper White Layer with Smoky Slate Ink (you’ll have to stamp it twice to get across the layer)

• Stamp notes with Basic Gray Ink

• Stamp sentiment with Rococo Rose Ink

• Color heart with Dark Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Marker

• Adhere layers to card base

On the inside stamp 3 notes and color the heart with a Dark Rococo Rose Stampin Blends Marker

The Music From The Heart is a great stamp set, especially if you love music. The images are fantastic!

I made the guitar image by combining the Treble Clef image and the guitar neck image. Pretty cool!

Tips & Instructions

• Real Red Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Whisper White Layer - Emboss with Scripty 3D Embossing Folder (Use the 3D Embossing Folder Plate when embossing)

• From My Heart Designer Series Paper - cut using the largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies

• Whisper White - cut using the 2nd largest rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies

• Stamp Treble Clef Image and Guitar Neck using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on white layer (practice on scrap to get it in the right place and the angle you want)

• Stamp sentiment with Black Ink and hearts with Real Red Ink. Color heart in center of Guitar with Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker

• Wrap piece of ribbon around embossed layer and adhere to the back, then adhere layer to card

• Adhere stamped layer to Designer Series Paper layer and adhere over ribbon using Dimensionals

• Make bow with ribbon and adhere

Stamp sentiment on the inside with Black Ink. Stamp music notes at the bottom with Black Ink and color heart with Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Sketch Saturday - Enjoy Life

For today’s sketch challenge I went back to the Annual Catalog and used the Enjoy Life Stamp Set.

Using a Sponge Brayer, I sponged the three colors across the layer with Pacific Point, Seaside Spray and Balmy Blue Ink.

The sketch is a CAS(E) This Sketch challenge from Splitcoaststampers. I really had to think about this one to come up with an idea.

Tips & Instructions

• Balmy Blue Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Whisper White Layer - 4 3/4 x 4 1/4, using Sponge Brayer, sponge across bottom with Balmy Blue Ink, then move to the middle and sponge with Seaside Spray Ink, then move to the top and sponge with Pacific Point Ink. Sponge lightly starting off the layer and just go over and over until you get the color you like. Be sure to blend well where the colors meet.

• Punch 2 1/4 circle with Circle Punch

• Stamp images from Enjoy Life with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

• Lightly sponge circle with Daffodil Delight Ink

• Stamp sentiment on 1 x 1 1/2 strip of Whisper White Cardstock with Black Ink and cut point.

• Adhere sentiment and then adhere circle using Dimensionals

Stamp sentiment and image with Black Ink on the inside.

Tropical Masculine Birthday Card

I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) this card from the 2020 Mini Catalog and just changed up the sentiment label a little. This is a great card for a guy, don’t you think?

• Crumb Cake Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Crumb Cake Layer - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

• Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/2 x 3, adhere to top portion of the Crumb Cake Layer

• Wrap a piece of Braided Burlap Trim around layer at the seam and adhere to back

• Wrap a piece of Linen Thread around layer below the burlap trim and tie bow

• Adhere Layer to card base

• Stamp palm trees with Early Espresso Ink on scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock and cut with coordinating die. Adhere to card with Dimensionals

• Stamp sentiment on scrap with Whisper White Cardstock with Pretty Peacock Ink and punch with Story Label Punch

• Punch scrap of Terracotta Tile with Story Label Punch, cut in half and adhere behind white label, separating to create small boarder around the label. Adhere over trim using Dimensionals

On the inside, stamp palm trees with Old Olive Ink. Stamp sentiment with Pretty Peacock Ink.

Thoughtful Blooms Birthday Card

In my video, I’ll show you how to create this weaved planter for these pretty flowers. Don’t you just love the little scalloped border in Coastal Cabana?

Tips & Instructions

• Soft Suede Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Soft Suede Layer - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, emboss with Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder (use the Embossing Plate) and adhere to card base

• Coastal Cabana Layer - 4 1/8 x 3 1/8

• Whisper White - 4 x 3

• Cut planter piece using the label from the Painted Labels Dies from a scrap of Soft Suede Cardstock and emboss it with the Coastal Weave folder. Trim off the top.

• Cut scalloped trim using the Painted Label Dies from a scrap of Coastal Cabana Cardstock

• Lay the planter piece over the Whisper White Layer and lightly trace around the top with a pencil to help with placement of the flowers

• Stamp stems and leaves with Old Olive Ink, branches with Crumb Cake Ink and berries with Coastal Cabana Ink

• Adhere planter in place

• On scrap of Whisper White, stamp 3 detailed flower images with Daffodil Delight. Using the solid stamp, stamp off on scrap and then stamp over the flower and punch with Small Bloom Punch

• Adhere flowers with Mini Glue Dots and add Pearl to center of each flower

• Adhere stamped layer to Coastal Cabana layer and then add to card using Dimensionals

• Adhere scalloped trim piece to planter

• Stamp Sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthdays on 3/4 strip of Whisper White with Coastal Cabana and punch to create banner using the Banner Triple Punch. Adhere to card using Dimensionals

• Lovely Lipstick Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Whisper White Layer 5 1/4 x 4, emboss with Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder (use the Embossing Plate with 3D folders) and adhere to card base

• Lovely Lipstick Layer - 4 1/8 x 3 1/8

• Whisper White Layer 4 x 3

• Stamp the leaf image with Granny Apple Green Ink leaving some space between the images.

• Stamp the large flower in the center of each of the leaf images with Petal Pink Ink, stamping off first (stamp on scrap and then on the layer to get a lighter shade)

• Stamp the small flower with Lovely Lipstick

• Stamp the branch image with Crumb Cake Ink and the berries with Petal Pink Ink

• Adhere stamped layer to Lovely Lipstick Layer

• Stamp sentiment (from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set) with Lovely Lipstick Ink and punch with Label Me Fancy Punch. Punch slit on each end

• Color 2 pieces of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon with Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend Marker

• Feed ribbon through slits on sentiment label, add Dimensionals to label and then wrap the ribbon around and adhere to back

• Adhere focal piece to card using Dimensionals

• Tie bow and adhere with Mini Glue Dot

• Add rhinestones to center of each flower

On the inside, stamp portion of leaf image with Granny Apple Green and the small flower with Lovely Lipstick Inks. Stamp sentiment with Lovely Lipstick Ink.

Sketch Saturday - Honey Bee

One of my favorite products right now is the Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper and its FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration. I absolutely love it and had to use it for this sketch.

The sketch is another CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge from Splitcoaststampers. These are so much fun to do.

Here’s a closer look at the Designer Series Paper. It’s black and white with gold foil. Some of the dies will cut out the bees in the paper, so cool!

The Honey Bee Stamp set has some sweet sentiments and great coordinating dies. Save 10% when you purchase this as a bundle.

Tips & Instructions

• Basic Black Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Gold Foil Layer - 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 (I used a piece that I cut out shapes in the center. It’s covered by the next layer so you can save on your gold foil and no one is the wiser)

• Daffodil Delight Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Golden Honey Designer Series Paper - User a 6” length and then cut 3/4 at the top to 2 3/4 at the bottom. I eyeballed it to get this shape. It will hang over but you will cut the excess.

• Adhere layers and then adhere the Designer Series Paper diagonally across the card. From the back, cut off the excess.

• Stamp Sentiment with Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock and cut with scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhere using Dimensionals

• Cut larger Bee from the Designer Series Paper using coordinating die and fussy cut 2 smaller bees and beehive and adhere as shown on the card

Using Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers, color leaves and flowers and stamp on the inside layer. (NOTE: do not color your markers with Stampin’ Blends as they are alcohol based and will dry out your stamps.)

You Make Me Happy - Valentine's Day Card

Crooked is not my style!!! But, I wanted to try this look and I’m really happy with how it turned out. The pretty From My Heart Designer Series Paper and the Vellum sheet are offset (crooked).

The Stamp Set is called Meant To Be and the coordinating coordinating Stitched Be Mine Dies has so many great options for cutting out hearts.

Watch the video to see how I made this card. I didn’t show that I added that tiny heart that I put aside in the video. Just glue it below the sentiment on the heart.

Tips & Instructions:

• Real Red Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Flirty Flamingo Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Vellum Layer - 4 1/2 x 3 1/4

• From My Heart Designer Series Paper - 4 1/2 x 3 1/4, adhere to vellum, offsetting a little bit

• Wrap piece of Real Red Ribbon around layers and adhere to the back, adhere layers to card

• Cut Real Red Heart Frame and Whisper White Heart

• Stamp sentiment on white heart with Real Red Ink and adhere red heart frame over it (use very small dots of liquid glue to just the inside border of the red heart as shown in the video)

• Adhere heart using Dimensionals

• Tie bow with ribbon and adhere using Mini Glue Dots

Pretty Valentine Card with Heart To Heart

I love all the flower images in the Heart To Heart Stamp Set. It was so easy to create this pretty background for my card.

This card is for Valentine’s Day but you can use just about any sentiment to make a birthday, thinking of you or thank you card. Just change it up!

Tips & Instructions

• Highland Heather Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Granny Apple Green Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Whisper White Layer - 5 1/8 x 3 7/8

• Create a background on the Whisper White Layer by stamping the leaf images with Granny Apple Green (leave plenty of space between each image), largest flower image with Highland Heather Ink, medium flower image with Flirty Flamingo Ink and smallest flower image with Daffodil Delight Ink. Add some of the smaller leaf images to fill in open spaces.

• Adhere flower layer to Granny Apple Green Layer

• Wrap piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon around layers and adhere to card base

• Stamp frame and sentiment on Whisper White Scrap with Gorgeous Grape Ink and punch with Story Label Punch. Adhere over ribbon using Dimensionals

• Tie two strands of Whisper White Bakers Twine into a bow and adhere with Mini Glue Dot

• Adhere pearls to label

On the inside stamp sentiment with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Stamp leave images with Granny Apple Green Ink and flowers with Flirty Flamingo Ink.

This is one of those stamp sets you might overlook, but take a second look!!! It is really beautiful and has great sentiments.

I created my own background paper by stamping the leaf and feather images randomly. I love this sentiment and the pretty flowers surrounding it.

• Old Olive Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Whisper White Layer - 5 1/4 x 4, stamp leaf image with Old Olive Ink and feather image with Smoky Slate Ink randomly on the layer

• Cut largest rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly Dies using Old Olive Cardstock

• Cut 2nd largest rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly Dies using Whisper White Cardstock

Sketch Saturday - Happy Birthday To You

Isn’t this a pretty birthday card? I love the Purple Posy Cardstock and the soft colors on the Vellum.

Here’s the sketch I used from a Splitcoaststampers Challenge.

This stamp set is FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a $50 purchase. The sentiments are so pretty and that cake!!! Perfect for a birthday or a wedding card.

Tips & Instructions

• Purple Posy Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Purple Posy Layer - 5 1/4 x 4, emboss with Subtle Embossing Folder and adhere to card base

• 2 7/8 x 3 1/2 Vellum Layer, stamp cake image with Black Memento Ink (I stamped on a larger piece and just cut to the size I wanted so it doesn’t have to be this exact measurement.)

• You can wait for the ink to dry or turn the vellum over and color on the back side. You can also dry with the heat tool but I find that it warps it some.

• Color image with Stampin’ Blends (Purple Posy combo for the flowers, Dark So Saffron for flower centers, Old Olive combo for the leaves, Light So Saffron for the cake, Dark Rich Razzleberry for the berries, Dark Granny Apple Green for smaller leaves, Dark Smoky Slate for the cake plate)

• Carefully adhere the vellum piece to the card, sparingly putting adhesive where the image is stamped. You don’t want it to show thru. I used the Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

• 5/8 x 2 1/2 strip of Whisper White - stamp sentiment with Highland Heather Ink and banner each end. I used the Banner Triple Punch to cut the banner ends. Adhere using Dimensionals

• Adhere some pearls randomly on the card

On the inside, stamp the sentiments with Highland Heather Ink. Stamp the dots on both sides of the sentiment.

This was a fun card to make using the Detailed Hearts Die. I die cut the entire heart image and then cut the pieces I wanted to use. The colors are Gorgeous Grape and Purple Posy.

I’ll show you how I made these in the video below. Which do you like better, the diagonal or the horizontal grouping of hearts?

Tips & Instructions

• Gorgeous Grape Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Purple Posy Layer - 5 1/4 x 4, adhere to card base

• Piece of Gorgeous Grape - cut with Detailed Hearts Die, cut piece you want, diagonal or horizontal and adhere to card

• Scrap of Whisper White - Stamp frame and sentiment with Gorgeous Grape Ink and punch with Story Label Punch and adhere to card with Dimensionals

• Adhere hearts randomly

• Add Wink Of Stella to solid hearts

You can used different parts of the die by cutting it. The one above was a diagonal grouping of hearts and the one below is a horizontal grouping of hearts.

Pretty Happy Birthday Card

Isn’t this such a pretty card? I used the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper for the background which makes the card.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Layered With Kindness Stamp Set. I punched it out with the Label Me Lovely and Label Me Fancy Punches. These are going to be great punches to have on hand, they work so well together.

• Blackberry Bliss Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Best Dressed Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4, adhere to card base
