Tidings All Around - Blessed and Grateful Card

Autumn is right around the corner and it’s time to start making cards with the beautiful fall colors.

I used the Stamparatus to make this wreath and it was so easy to do once I had the template. Watch the video to see how I made it.

Tips & Instructions

• Old Olive Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Crushed Curry Layer - 4 1/8 x 4 1/8

• Whisper White Layer - 4 x 4

• Using Stamparatus, stamp the leave images around to create the wreath with Old Olive Ink

• Stamp berries at the end of each branch with Crushed Curry Ink

• Stamp the Blessed sentiment in the center of the wreath with Crushed Curry Ink

• Whisper White Strip 3/4 x 3 3/4 - stamp sentiment and cut banner on each end with Banner Triple Bunch

• Adhere layers and adhere sentiment strip using Dimensionals

• Tie bow with ribbon and adhere with Mini Glue Dot

Beautiful Cardinal Card

I love seeing cardinals in a snowy scene. The pop of red is just beautiful!

This cardinal is from the Toile Christmas Stamp Set and I cut it out using the coordinating dies. The paper is from the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Papers.

Tips & Instructions

• Night Of Navy Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4 (try to get the best part of the image when cutting). Adhere to Card Base

• Stamp sentiment on Designer Series Paper using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink

• Stamp cardinal on Whisper White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut with coordinating die

• Color cardinal with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and darken the head with Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Add Wink of Stella if desired

• Color beak with a Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker

• Adhere Cardinal using Dimensionals

• Add Rhinestones

On the inside stamp the leaf image using Old Olive Ink.

The Feels Like Frost Designer Series Papers are gorgeous. One side has photographic imagery and the other side has hand-drawn images with silver foil. Sketch Saturday - Colorful Seasons

I pulled out one of my old favorites for this card. It’s the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and the coordinating Seasonal Layers Dies. I just love the Adirondack Chair.

Here’s the card I made. The colors are Terracotta Tile, Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake. The ribbon below the sentiment is the Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon; so pretty!

• Terracotta Tile Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Crumb Cake Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Seaside Spray Layer - 5 1/8 x 3 7/8, emboss with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder

• Scrap of Terracotta Tile - cut Adirondack chair with Seasonal Layers Dies

• Crumb Cake Strip - 4 x 3/4

• Adhere Layers

• Stamp sentiment with black ink and adhere ribbon behind strip (I used Tear & Tape to adhere it)

• Adhere sentiment to card and adhere Adirondack Chair over sentiment strip

• Adhere 3 Seaside Spray Faceted Dots to top corner

I used a Crumb Cake layer on the inside and stamped some leaves with Terracotta Tile Ink.

Gather Together Autumn Leaves

I love Autumn colors and the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper really delivers with beautiful patterns and rich colors.

Watch my video below to see how I made these cards. The leaf dies cut and emboss in one pass, so pretty!

Tips & Instructions

• Crumb Cake Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Come To Gather Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4

• Scraps of Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake - cut out leaves with coordinating dies

• Scrap of Whisper White - stamp sentiment with Cajun Craze Ink and punch with Pretty Label Punch

• Wrap piece of Crumb Cake Ribbon around the Designer Series Paper Layer and adhere to back and adhere to card base

• Using label as guide, place leaves where you want them and adhere them to layer

• Adhere label using Dimensionals

• Tie two strands of Cajun Craze Linen Thread into a bow and adhere with Mini Glue Dot

Both sentiments work well with the Pretty Label Punch

On the inside, stamp sentiment with Merry Merlot and then stamp leaf image (stamping off first to get lighter color)

Season of Thanks

The Gather Together Stamp Set is just perfect for heading into Autumn.

The card base was embossed with the 3D Mosaic Embossing Folder which gives the card great texture.

• Pumpkin Pie Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4 and emboss front with Mosaic 3D Embossing Folder (Be sure to use the new Embossing Plate with 3D folders)

• Crumb Cake Layer - 4 1/8 x 3 1/8

• Whisper White Layer 4 x 3

• Whisper White scrap - stamp pumpkins with pumpkin Pie Ink and cut out with the Gathered Leaves Dies

• Stamp Wheat and dots with Crumb Cake Ink and sentiment with Pumpkin Pie Ink Ink (I stamped one bunch of wheat a second time without re-inking to get a lighter look)

• Adhere layers to card and adhere pumpkins using Dimensionals

On the inside stamp sentiment with Pumpkin Pie Ink and the wheat bunches with Crumb Cake Ink. Adhere pumpkins over the wheat.

Floral Essence Birthday Wishes

These flowers from the Floral Essence Stamp Set are so beautiful. I stamped them with Rich Razzleberry Ink and adding the centers with Crushed Curry, really makes them pop.

The floral oval cut out is from the Petal Labels Dies and its so pretty. The colors are Rich Razzleberry and Soft Sea Foam.

Tips & Instructions

• Rich Razzleberry Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score 4 1/4

• Soft Seafoam Layer - 5 1/4 x 4, cut floral oval in center using Petal Labels Die

• Whisper White Layer 5 1/4 x 4 (cut it slightly smaller), stamp flowers across bottom half with Rich Razzleberry Ink, centers with Crushed Curry and add leaves with Garden Green. Lay oval over to help with placement as you go

• Stamp sentiment where it fits with Black Memento Ink (I used the sentiment from Varied Vases as it fit nicely)

• Adhere Soft Foam Layer over Whisper White Layer with Dimensionals. Cut any white that shows from behind.

• Adhere layer to card base

On the inside, stamp 3 flowers in the bottom corner the way they were stamped on cover. Stamp sentiment with Black Memento Ink.

Quick Card using Above The Clouds

This was a super easy card to make. The Noble Peacock Paper for the balloons is the highlight of the card.

• Adhere balloons and baskets with Dimensionals

• Adhere layer to card base

Tips & Instructions:

• Merry Merlot Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Rococo Rose Layer - 5 3/8 x 4 1/8

• Whisper White Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Stamp large floral image on the white layer using Merry Merlot Ink but stamp off first (ink up stamp, stamp on scrap to get layer of ink off, then stamp on white layer)

• Stamp smaller floral images with Rococo Rose Ink

• Stamp leaves with Old Olive Ink, stamping off first

• Adhere stamped layer to Rococo Rose layer and then add a piece of ribbon, adhering to the back

• Adhere layers to card base

• Whisper White Scrap - 7/8 x 2 3/4, stamp sentiment (from Woven Heirlooms) with Merry Merlot Ink and adhere over ribbon with Dimensionals

On the inside stamp one flower with Merry Merlot (stamping off first) and then surround it with other flowers using the Rococo Rose Ink. Stamp leaves with Old Olive (stamping off first).

Fun Double Z-Fold Card

This was an easy card to make. It looks complicated but once you have all your pieces cut and scored, it’s a piece of cake.

I’ll take you through all the steps on the video below. Don’t worry about all the measurements. I've put them together in the Instructions section of this Blog Post.

Tips & Instructions

• Card Base - 4 1/4 x 11, score at 3 & 6 (I used Calypso Coral on one and Old Olive on the other)

• Smaller Z -old piece - 2 3/4 x 9, score at 3 & 6 (I used Calypso Coral on one and Old Olive on the other

• Background Layers - 2 3/4 x 4 and 4 3/4 x 4 (I used Calypso Coral on one and Old Olive on the other

• Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper Layers - 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 (floral) and 4 1/2 x 3 3/4 (polka dots)

• 2 Whisper White sentiment layers - 2 3/4 x 2 1/2

• Punch bird from Designer Series Paper using 2” Punch

• Punch circle (Calypso Coral or Old Olive) using 2 1/4” Punch and adhere behind bird circle

• Punch 2 leaves from Perennial Essence Vellum using Leaf Punch

• Stamp sentiments and flower image on sentiment layer (be sure to have it horizontal). Color flowers with Calypso Coral Light Stampin’ Blends Marker.

• Adhere Layers (follow video to see how to do this) making sure that the smaller Z-fold is lined up properly

• Using circles to determine positioning for leaves, adhere leaves and then adhere circle over the leaves using Dimensionals

Here’s a look at how they look opened up. The first one has the Calypso Coral Z-Fold Card Base and inside and has the single bird on the front.

This one has the Old Olive Card Base and inside and has two birds on the front. Which do you like better?

Gorgeous Hydrangea Birthday Card!

I just love the floral images in the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set. I just stamped the hydrangea all around the card with Seaside Spray Ink….so pretty!

I made this card for a color challenge with Stampin’ Up! Team I’m on. Here are the colors that you needed to use (one, two or more). I chose Seaside Spray, Garden Green and Rococo Rose. They are not the exact colors but close enough.

The See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper is so vibrant and gorgeous!

After I made the first card with Crushed Curry and the Designer Series Paper, I decided to add Poppy Parade to the second card and love how it turned out. Watch the video below to see them both.

See how the Poppy Parade gives the card that extra “pop” of color? And the sentiment is just perfect for a close friend.

Today’s Sketch is a team challenge and it was pretty easy to make. I used two different stamp sets to get the Birthday Wishes sentiments.

• Rococo Rose Layer - Emboss with Subtle Embossing Folder and adhere to card base

• Whisper White 3 x 3 layer - stamp sentiment (from Varied Vases) over and over to create the background with Rococo Rose Ink and adhere to card

Pocketful of Posies - Gift Card Holder

This is a fun card with a pocket on the inside for a gift card!

The pocket on the outside is full of posies (I’m singing Ring Around the Rosie in my head). Watch the video to see all the steps to make a card like this.

Tips & Instructions

• Purple Posy Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Seaside Spray Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• In Color Designer Series Paper - cut 2 pockets and fold on scored lines

• Whisper White - stamp 3 flowers, color with Stampin’ Blends (Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam) and fussy cut the flowers and leaves. Using black marker color any white on edges.

• Adhere ribbon to top of pocket and adhere pocket to Seaside Spray layer

• Adhere flowers and leaves to pocket and add Noble Peacock Rhinestones to center of flowers

• Stamp sentiment with black ink on Purple Posy Cardstock and punch with Scalloped Circle Punch and adhere with Dimensionals

On the inside, adhere the other pocket which is where you can place your gift card. Stamp sentiment and flower with black ink.

Pocketful Of Happiness Birthday Card

The new Pocketful of Happiness Stamp Set coordinates with the Pocket Dies!

I’m so glad they came out with another stamp set for the Pocket Dies and this one is so pretty with the dove and the floral pattern.

Tips & Instructions

• Blueberry Bushel Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Balmy Blue Layer - cut with largest Stitched Rectangle Die

• Stamp pocket image with Blueberry Bushel Ink and cut with coordinating Pocket Die

• Fold edges of pocket along scored lines to form the pocket

• Lay pocket over rectangle to determine where to stamp floral image and stamp with Blueberry Bushel Ink on the rectangle

• Cut small white tag and adhere to right side of pocket and adhere pocket on stitched rectangle

• Whisper White strip - cut with small Stitched Rectangle Die and stamp sentiment (from Itty Bitty Birthdays) with Blueberry Bushel Ink and adhere with Dimensionals

• Cut 3 hearts from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock using heart die and adhere to label and tag

• Add Rhinestones to flower centers in pocket

Stamp Flower in top and bottom corners and sentiment with Blueberry Bushel Ink.

The stamps are made so when you ink them up, you get variations of color which adds so much texture. They really are so pretty!!!

Tips & Instructions

• Garden Green Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Whisper White Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

• Stamp floral image with Flirty Flamingo Ink on an angle toward the top and the bottom as shown on card and adhere to card base

• Stamp Leaves with Garden Green Ink and flower center with So Saffron Ink

• Whisper White Strip - 4 1/4 x 1 - stamp sentiment with Black Ink and punch banner with Banner Triple Punch

• Garden Green Strip - 4 1/4 x 1 1/8 - punch banner with Banner Triple Punch so that it extends a little longer than white strip

• Adhere white banner to green banner and adhere over center of flowers using Dimensionals

• Add Rhinestones

On the inside, stamp smaller flower image on inside top right and bottom left corner with Flirty Flamingo Ink.

Sketch Saturday - Vibrant Vases

Today’s Sketch is from a Team Challenge and it was a little challenging :)

Here’s the sketch.

I used the Vibrant Vases Stamp Set for the beautiful vases with the flowers and the sentiment is from the Varied Vases Stamp Set.

Tips & Instructions

• Pear Pizzazz Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

• Flirty Flamingo Squares - 5 pieces at 2x2 each

• Whisper White Squares - 5 pieces at 1 7/8 x 1 7/8

• Whisper White Strip for sentiment - 4 1/4 x 1/2

• Stamp vases and flower with black Ink on the 4 squares and on the 5th square turn it to be a diamond shape

• On the focal diamond shaped image, use the filler stamp to color in the vase with Pear Pizzazz Ink and the flower with Flirty Flamingo Ink. Color the leaves with a Blender Pen picking up the ink from the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad or use a Stampin’ Write Marker.

• Adhere each square to the Flirty Flamingo layer

• Adhere 4 squares to card base and adhere the diamond shaped one with Dimensionals

• Stamp sentiment with black ink on strip and adhere with Dimensionals

• Make bow with 3 strands of Whisper White Linen Thread and adhere with glue dot

On the inside stamp sentiment from and another flower and vase with black ink.
