I made this card for the Atlantic Hearts Weekly Sketch Challenge using the More Than Autumn Bundle, just in time for Thanksgiving and all the delicious foods that go with it.
Here’s the sketch I used. I wanted to do something different from flowers so I decided on butterflies.
Tips & Instructions
Garden Green Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Basic White layer - 4 x 5 1/4, adhere to the card base.
To Market Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4 x 5, adhere to the card.
Basic White Strip - 3/4 x 5, emboss using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to the card.
Basic White - 1 x 1 1/2, stamp sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink. The sentiment is from the Choose Happy Stamp Set. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.
Punch a hexagon from Basic White using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch.
Stamp the pie and whipped cream on a scrap of Basic White in Black Memento ink. Colro the pie crust with a Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker. Color the pie with Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. Die Cut the pie and the whipped cream using the coordinating dies. Adhere the whipped cream to the pie.
Die cut the leaf twice, once from Garden Green and once from Pumpkin Pie. Adhere the leaves to the back of the pie and then adhere the pie to the hexagon label.
Adhere the label to the card with Dimensionals.
Add some Pecan Pie Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots.
On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink. The sentiment is from the More Than Autumn Stamp Set and I just stamped the word “Grateful” by masking off the rest of the sentiment. Use A Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker to add the 3 dots. Adhere the other parts of the leaves that you die cut.
I love the gingham pattern for this card, it really goes well with the slice of pumpkin pie.
