Sketch Challenge - Hooray for Surprises

I made this card for the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge using the Hooray for Surprises Stamp Set and Full of Life Designer Series Paper.

Here’s the sketch I used. Click on the sketch to see the other projects posted for this week.

Tips & Instructions

  • Blueberry Bushel Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer 4 x 5 1/4

  • Full of Life Designer Series Paper 3 3/4 x 5

  • Use the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut our 4 squares from the Designer Series paper layer. TIP - use the next size larger square dies to determine where to cut them out.

  • Die cut 4 squares from the next size larger squares from Basic White and adhere the Designer Series Paper squares to them. Wrap a piece of White Diagonal Trim around the bottom area of the Designer Series Paper and adhere to the back. Adhere layer to the card.

  • Adhere the squares back to the area that you cut them from.

  • Stamp sentiment on Basic White in Blueberry Bushel ink and die cut using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Die cut the next larger circle from Blueberry Bushel Cardstock and adhere behind the white circle. Adhere to the card with Dimensionals.

  • Feed a piece of the white Diagonal Trim under the trim and tie a singe knot.

  • Add some Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp sentiment in Blueberry Bushel Ink and add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the bottom.

I love how bright and colorful this card is.
