I made this card for the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge using the cute Snowy Scenes products. When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to make a snow globe card.
Here’s the sketch I used. Click on the sketch to see the other projects posted for this week.
Tips & Instructions
Poppy Parade Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Basic White Layer 4 x 5 1/4, stamp snowflakes all over the layer in Balmy Blue ink.
Die cut one of the snow globes from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper using the Snowy Wonder Dies.
Die cut a piece of Garden Green Glimmer Paper (from the Festive Glimmer Paper) using the top part of the snow globe die.
Adhere the Glimmer paper that you cut to the bottom of the white layer and then adhere the snow globe above it using Dimensionals.
Die cut the banner from Basic White using the Peaceful Season Dies. Stamp the sentiment in Poppy Parade ink. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set. Adhere to the card using Dimensionals on each end of the banner and a little Liquid Glue behind the middle area.
Adhere the layer to the card base.
Add some Iridescent Faceted Gems to the center of some of the snowflakes.
On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade ink. Stamp the trees in Garden Green ink and the penguin in Black Memento ink. Add some snowflakes in Balmy Blue ink.
This is such a fun winter card with the cute penguin and all those snowflakes.
