Sketch Challenge - Sweet Citrus

I was going to make a Valentine’s Day card for this week’s sketch challenge but decided to freshen it up and use the Sweet Citrus products.

This is the sketch I used from the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. I’m on the team so get an early peek at the sketches and make a card to post in their gallery.

You can click on the sketch to see the other projects made for this week’s challenge.

Tips & Instructions

  • Pumpkin Pie Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4.

  • Sunny Days Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4 x 4 (the pattern is Petal Pink but it works with the Pumpkin Pie)

  • Basic White Layer - 5 1/4 x 1 3/4, stamp sentiment on top, right area in Pumpkin Pie ink. Adhere to the Designer Series Paper Layer.

  • Pumpkin Pie Strip - 5 1/4 x 1, adhere to the layers.

  • Wrap Natural Wavy Trim around the layers and adhere in the back. I used Scotch Tape. Adhere layer to the card base.

  • Stamp the citrus rinds on Basic White in Pumpkin Pie ink. Stamp the flesh/inside in Pumpkin Pie ink, stamping off first to get a lighter shade. Die cut and emboss using the Hybride Embossing Folder. Adhere to the card using Dimensionals on the top one.

  • Add some Iridescent Pastel Gems.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4) stamp sentiment in Pumpkin Pie ink. Add a 5 1/4 x 3/4 strip of the Designer Series Paper.
