Sketch Challenge - Sweetly Scripted

Here’s my card for the weekly Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. I used the Country Lace Designer Series Paper and then added an embossed strip which coordinates so well with the paper. The sentiment is from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set.

Here’s the sketch I used. You can see all the projects posted for this week’s challenge by clicking on the sketch below.

Tips & Instructions

  • Misty Moonlight Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Country Lace Designer Series Paper (blue pattern) - 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, cut in half diagonally. Adhere one piece to the left side of the card front.

  • Country Lace Designer Series Paper (beige pattern) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, cut in half diagonally. Adhere one piece to the right side of the card front.

  • Use the other half of the beige pattern to cut a smaller triangle. Don’t adhere it yet.

  • Misty Moonlight 4 1/4 x 8. Lay the small triangle at the bottom corner of it and cut along the edge to create a Misty Moonlight Strip. Emboss using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.

  • Adhere the small triangle to the bottom right corner. Adhere the embossed layer along the small triangle. Trim off any overhang.

  • Stamp sentiment on a 3/4 x 6 1/2 strip of Basic White in Misty Moonlight ink. I used the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set. Adhere to the embossed strip and trim off any overhang.

  • Add some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

On the inside layer (4 x 5 1/4), add 2 triangles from the blue patterned paper. I cut a 2 x 2 square and then cut it in half diagonally.

I love all the triangles on this card. It was a fun sketch to use.
