Ice Cream Swirl Birthday Card

This is my first time using the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle. It has great images and dies to create a scrumptious ice cream cone.

I used the color combo from my Inspiration Calendar - Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Crumb Cake. You can get my calendar each month when you subscribe to my email list.

Tips & Instructions

  • Poppy Parade Card Base - 5 1/4 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - cut using the largest Deckled Rectangles Dies.

  • Crumb Cake - die cut ice cream cone with the embossing piece inside the frame.

  • Stamp the ice cream in Petal Pink ink and color with a Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker. Die cut with the coordinating open die.

  • Petal Pink - die cut the top swirl layer of the ice cream and adhere to the stamped image.

  • Stamp the cherry in Black Memento ink and color with a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Marker. Die cut with coordinating die and adhere to the ice cream.

  • Adhere the ice cream to the cone. Be sure you check the height of the image so it fits on the front layer. I had to move the ice cream down on the cone to shorten it up.

  • Poppy Parade - die cut the sprinkles and adhere to the cone.

  • Lay the cone on the white layer to determine placement for the stamped sprinkles and sentiment. Stamp in Poppy Parade ink.

  • Adhere the ice cream cone to the white layer with Dimensionals and adhere layer to the card base.

Cut another large rectangle using the Deckled Rectangles Dies for the inside layer. Stamp sentiment and sprinkles in Poppy Parade ink.
