I love a black and white card and the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper is so perfect for a masculine card.
I made the card for this week’s Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. This was an easy sketch, just get some coordinating patterned paper and maybe an embossed layer to get started.
Tips & Instructions
Basic Black Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Basic White Layer - 5 1/4 x 4, emboss using the dots folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Adhere to the card base.
Cut 2 different patterns from the Rock & Roll Designer Series Paper to 4 x 5 1/4. Cut each piece to create a triangle. You can use scrap paper first if you want to play around with the triangles. Using a narrow strip of Basic Black and adhere along the edge of the triangle that will meet the embossed layer.
Adhere the triangles to the card as shown in the picture.
Stamp sentiment in Black Memento ink on Basic White. Cut with the Deckled Circle Dies.
Die cut a piece of Basic Black using the next size up of the Deckled Circle Dies. Adhere to sentiment circle.
Fussy cut one of the guitars from the Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the sentiment label using a little Liquid Glue on the edge that sits on the sentiment. Add Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment label and guitar and adhere to the card.
Add some black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.
On the inside layer (5 1/4 x 4) stamp sentiment in Black Memento ink. Add a 4 x 3/4 strip of the Designer Series Paper. I cut a piece of the pattern that has the radio, speakers, turntable, etc.
