Sketch Saturday - Easter Bunny

Here’s my card for this week’s sketch challenge…a day late! I had a very busy couple of days and started this card multiple times but got interrupted. I finally finished it today. I love how it came out, so cute!

The sketch is from the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

The Easter Bunny Stamp Set has such cut little bunnies and sweet sentiments. I fussy cut the bunny and some eggs which was very easy to do.

Tips & Instructions

  • Mint Macaron Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4

  • Basic White Layer - 5 1/4 x 4

  • Country Gingham Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4, oval using the Framed Florets Oval Dies. You will get a cutout oval on the layer and a rim that you can use for another project.

  • Cut scrap of Mint Macaron using the same oval die, you will use the rim for this card.

  • Lay the gingham layer over the white layer and draw lightly with a pencil around the oval so you know where to stamp. Stamp the sentiment with Black Memento Ink (you’ll need to stamp the words separately)

  • Stamp the eggs at the bottom of the oval leaving a space at the very bottom so you can add some additional eggs that you’ll stamp and fussy cut. Color the eggs with Stampin’ Blends and add some Wink Of Stella.

  • On scrap of Basic White stamp the bunny and eggs with Memento Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. I used Light Crumb Cake and Light Petal Pink on the bunny and Fresh Freesia, Orchid Oasis, Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya for the eggs. Add some Wink Of Stella to the eggs and the bunny’s ears, tail and tummy. Fussy cut the bunny and eggs.

  • Adhere the gingham layer to the white layer and then adhere the Mint Macaron rim.

  • Adhere the bunny with Dimensionals.

On the inside layer stamp bunny and sentiment with Black Memento Ink. Color Bunny with Light Crumb Cake and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and add some Wink Of Stella to the ears, tummy and feet.
