Here’s my card for this week’s Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge. I love how the sand and seashells look embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
The sketch is SC944 and you can see all the cards for this sketch by clicking on the sketch or going to Splitcoaststampers and searching the Gallery for SC944.
The background layer is a piece of By The Bay Designer Series Paper. The patterns on this paper are beautiful for beach scenes.
Tips & Instructions
Night of Navy Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
By The Bay Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4
I used the Lighthouse dies to create that diagonal strip. Cut 3 of them from Night Of Navy and adhere them together by overlapping the last rectangle on each and gluing them together. Adhere to a 1/2” strip of Gold Foil Paper.
Stamp the seashells with sand at the bottom of the By The Bay Designer Series Paper Layer and heat emboss with Gold Embossing Powder. Repeat to get the shells across the bottom. The seashells are from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set.
Heat Emboss the sentiment at the top of the layer with Gold Embossing Power. I used the On The Horizon Stamp Set for the sentiment.
Stamp birds (from On The Horizon Stamp Set) with Night of Navy Ink.
Adhere the diagonal strip to the layer and trim off each end. Adhere to card base.
Add some Gold Faceted Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
On the inside layer stamp the shells across the bottom and heat emboss them with Gold Embossing Powder.
