I made this cute card for this week’s sketch challenge using the Let’s Set Sail Bundle. I love this little sailboat! I added lots of texture by embossing the background layer and the white layer using the Strips & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder.
This is the sketch from the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. I decided to do the striped embossed layer for that middle piece.
The Let’s Set Sail Bundle has great images and sentiments and there is a coordinating Sailboat Builder Punch.
Tips & Measurements
Thick Basic White Card Base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4
Sun Prints Designer Series Paper - 5 1/4 x 4, emboss using the Splatters 3D Embossing Folder. (Note: you have to run it through twice to get the full layer embossed. Adhere to card base.
Basic White Layer - 4 x 1 1/2, emboss using the Stripes Embossing Folder.
Stamp sailboat with Gray Granite Ink and sails with Tahitian Tide Ink (new In Color) on scraps of Basic White Cardstock. Punch with coordinating Sailboat Builder Punch.
Adhere the sailboat and white embossed layer to the card.
Stamp the sentiment (from Sending Smiles Stamp Set) on a 3/8 strip of Basic White with Gray Granite Ink and adhere to card.
