Thanks For Lifting Me UP - CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge
CAS(E) this Sketch #276 - I'm participating in another Sketch Challenge. It's fun to do a challenge. You should give it a try.
First, the sketch...
I used the Lift Me Up stamp set and the new 2018-2020 In Colors. This was such an easy card to make, just ink and paper!

Octopus Adventure with Sea of Textures
Using the Sea of Textures Bundle you can make some great ocean scenes. There's the octopus, netting, great sea plants, schools of fish and sand dollars. What more do you need? Maybe a mermaid from the Magical Mermaid stamp set!
The octopus and sea plants are stamped using Tranquil Tide Ink. I stamped off (stamped on scrap paper and then on the cardstock) to get different shades of the same color.
The background netting was stamped in Crumb Cake and it's light because I also stamped off onto a piece of scrap before stamping on the cardstock. The larger net was cut out in Crumb Cake cardstock using the Under the Sea Thinlits. Watch the video to see the trick to adhering it.
I didn't put a sentiment on the inside of this one but stamped the same sea plant images.
Take a look at the video to see how I made these cards.

Cute Cards with Animal Outing
One of the new stamp sets that I truly love is the Animal Outing set. It has such cute animal images. Don't you just love the Rhino and the Kangaroo? I really like the shading that is in the image.
I used the new Shaded Spruce color for the cardstock and layered on a piece of Garden Impressions DSP. The stamping was done using Blackberry Bliss Ink which is a color that retired and they brought it back. What a beautiful, rich color.
Mr. Rhino has a cute little bird on his horn. This one is a thank you card. The Nature's Twine comes in some great colors, one of them is Blackberry Bliss. The Faceted Dots also has some of the dots in Blackberry Bliss. It's so great how everything coordinates.
Ms. Kangaroo is so cute with her Koala Bear in her pouch. Instead of the twine, I used the Burlap ribbon and also changed up the sentiment.
Take a look at the video below to see how I made these cards.

The New Annual Catalog Is LIVE!!!
Today is June 1 and that means that the new Stampin' Up! catalog has launched and you can order from it.
You can now order the Stamparatus if you missed the early pre-order!!!
Watch this video if you're not familiar with the Stamparatus.
Fun Birthday Card with Varied Vases
You're going to love this bundle called Varied Vases. It's a great stamp set and comes with a matching punch. It was designed by Mary Fish, one of the recent Million Dollar Sales Achievers.
The vases were punched using the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. Some of them were embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder. It gives them great texture. The flowers are in the new 2018-2020 In Colors which are just beautiful.
I had a little trouble lining up the green shelf with the black outline so I tried my new Stamparatus and it worked out great. It is a new stamp positioner and it really was easy to use. I'll be bringing you some videos on different ways to use it. You can purchase it starting June 1, when the new catalog goes live!!!!
Here's a look at the inside of the card.
Look at all the images in this stamp set. Aren't they great?

Lovely Embossed Vellum Hello Card
This beautiful card features the new Lovely Floral Embossing Folder along with some Share What You Love DSP and the stamps from the Varied Vases Set.
I love the look of vellum on a card and wanted to emboss it but didn't want to hide the glue behind embellishments. Using a Multi-Purpose Adhesive Sheet to adhere the vellum to the Grapefruit Grove cardstock worked beautifully.
The flower images and the sentiments are from the Varied Vases Stamp Set.

Ribbon of Courage
CAS(E) this Sketch #272 - Here's another sketch challenge that I'm participating in.
First the sketch:
I like the simplicity of this sketch and thought about flowers or butterflies and then decided to use the Ribbon of Courage set.
First I stamped one of the images from Touches of Texture around the bottom of the card for a background. Next I stamped the heart and flower images randomly. The ribbon was stamped and colored using Stampin' Blends.
These are the products I used.

Quick & Easy Masculine Card
This Truly Tailored Stamp Set and True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper is just great for a guy card. You can use it for Father's Day or a Birthday.
It's so simple to pull together a card when using great Designer Series Paper. I stamped the sentiment and then punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch. The ribbon is Night of Navy Corduroy and it really finishes off the card nicely. The sentiment on the inside can be used for any occasion.
You better hurry though the DSP and Stamp Set are on the retiring list and may sell out quickly. The punch will carry over to the new catalog. It's really a great punch!!!
You can see how I made this by watching the video below.

Beautiful Mother's Day Card!
Isn't this Share What You Love Designer Series Paper just beautiful. It's so easy to make a gorgeous card with. I made a Mother's Day card and a birthday card with the same design and products, just changed out the sentiment.
The card base is Rich Razzleberry which coordinates so well with the DSP. I stamped some flowers from the Love What You Do set by stamping off on scrap paper first, so it would be light and not take away from the sentiment. The Artisan Pearls are so pretty and that along with the velvet ribbon really finish off the card nicely.
Take a look at the video to see how I made these cards.

Hello Friend - Tutti Frutti DSP
I'm participating in another CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge. Its fun to try to come up with a card based on a sketch.
Here's the Sketch that I used to make my card.
When I saw this sketch, I was thinking about the Fruit Basket and Tutti Frutti DSP. I played around and came up with this card. Its a bright and cheerful card.
The strips are from the Tutti Frutti DSP; I just cut a row of fruit out and then went from there. The Real Red strips are just a little larger. The Triple Banner Punch was used for the banner ends. The sentiment is from the Fruit Basket Stamp Set.

Easy Thank You - Share What You Love Suite!
It seems that I make a lot of Thank You cards which is a good problem, right? I am blessed by wonderful customers, friends and relatives. Today's card is so easy and the results are beautiful.
The Love What You Do Stamp Set and Share What You Love DSP are so beautiful, its easy to pull together a pretty card. These items are available in the Share What You Love Suite and you can get details on this if you look at my April 30, 2018 Blog Post.
I'm so happy that Mint Macaron is coming back to our color family starting June 1. Pairing that with Tranquil Tide and coordinating with the DSP gives you some great results.
I created the background layer by randomly stamping the flowers on a piece of 5 1/4" x 4" Mint Macaron Cardstock using Mint Macaron Ink. I fussy cut the flowers from a piece of DSP and then put some of the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in the middle of the small flowers. For the inside, I stamped some of the flowers in the top and bottom corners in Mint Macaron. I didn't put a sentiment in because I'll just write a personal note.
Take a look at my video to see how I made this card.

Simple Sympathy Card
Today's card was made using a sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
Here's the sketch.
And here's my card. Its super simple but I really like how it came out.
I stamped the floral images using the Flourishing Phrases large image with Memento Ink and then colored it with the Stampin' Blends Markers in Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink. Layer that on an Old Olive base and there you have it. Easy, right?
Here's the inside.
This is such a great stamp set. It has terrific sentiments and the images are large, which I love.

Gorgeous Remarkable You Thank You Card
I mentioned that I participated in a card swap and received 50 cards from other Demonstrators and boy are they beautiful. I decided to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) some of them. Today's is my first CASE and I love how it turned out.
I didn't have the stamp sets so I used some alternatives. The Remarkable You Stamp Set has such large and beautiful images, you can't go wrong. I added a pop of Bermuda Bay as a layer to coordinate with the ribbon.
Even the inside images are beautiful. They look like they were hand drawn with black ink.
You'll have to watch the video to see the one I cased. It is a beautiful card and gave me great inspiration!

Ink Pad Case Redesign
Stampin' Up! redesigned it's Ink Pads and I wanted to show you what they look like and answer some questions that you may have.
Here's the old case on the left and the new case on the right for a side by side comparison. The new case is a little shorter and see those little dents in each corner? They are there so they can stack on top of each other.
Here's last year's In Colors stacked up on the left next to this year's In Colors stacked on the right. They stack so nicely together and are much neater than they used to be. They take up less room too!
Why did we change the case?
The case’s manufacturing mold was about to expire. We can only use a mold a limited number of times before we need to replace it, so we had to decide if we wanted to order more of the same molds or try to improve the design. We chose to improve it!
What's better about the case?
It's less confusing to open. Opening the new ink pad case is now more simple and intuitive—just insert your thumb in the “lip” at the front of the case and lift it to open.
They have a tighter fit between the lid and the base. With the new design, the lid doesn’t accidentally become disconnected which was a common problem with the old case style. With use, the lid will be easier to slide open and close.
They're stackable. The ability to stack the cases makes them easier to store and transport. We designed a nub in each bottom corner that fits nicely into the “dimple” on the top of another case.
There's improved labels and stickers. Here are a few of the ways we’ve done that:
We’ve redesigned the front label with a cleaner, bolder design and larger color swatch, making it easier to see the ink’s color.
We’ve included a new In Color icon.
We’re continuing to provide color stickers that you can place on the end of each case to easily identify the ink’s color at a glance.
We’re providing a new color sticker you can place on the inside of the pad, so your customers can easily distinguish the ink’s color when the case is open.
Is the ink different?
Since we were improving the case we decided to make improvements to the ink as well!
We added defoamer to the ink ingredients because we noticed that our old ink would sometimes bubble (especially on new pads and with lighter colors). When this happened, the ink wasn’t as even and smooth when stamped as we’d like to see it.
The added defoamer will:
• Reduce ink bubbles
• Help you get an even coating of ink on the stamp
• Help the stamped image have a smoother, solid look
Another change we made is that Archival ink will no longer be part of our ink offering. Basic Gray will now be offered in Classic ink. Your best options for black ink are the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad and the Jet Black StāzOn Pad.
Do you see that the colors I'm showing are all the new In Colors? Aren't they beautiful. Which one is your new favorite? Lovely Lipstick, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove or Pineapple Punch?
Painted Harvest Mother's Day Card
Today's card was made using a sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge. This is the first time I've done a challenge like this and it was fun. It pushed me a little to try something new, which is a good thing!
Here's the sketch.
This is the card I made to follow along.
I used the Painted Harvest Stamp Set with Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight to create the flower. I love this set! The pearls were colored with the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends Marker. The top banner is a piece of Burlap Ribbon and then some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine wrapped around it.
Here's a peak at the inside.
You can follow along by watching my video.

2018 Color Revamp
When Stampin' Up! unveils the new catalog, they announce the new In Colors that have a 2 year life cycle. This year, they also did a color revamp, bringing back some old colors, retiring some and adding new ones. I'm sad to see some favorites go like Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder but I'm so happy to see some colors returning colors like Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron. Here are the In Colors for 2018-2020 and the New Colors added to the Color Collections.
These are the new Color Collections. Aren't they beautiful!!!
On May 31, 2018, these colors are retiring. If you want any of these colors, order them before they are sold out.
Whenever colors are retired, there is always some confusion about the status of various products in those colors. We wanted to be sure that our demonstrators and customers have a chance to buy retiring ink pads and refills before they are gone. We have worked with our vendors to ensure that we have a period of guaranteed stock before the retirement date. This means that even if an ink pad/refill goes on backorder during that guaranteed time, those orders will be fulfilled.
However, after that guarantee date has passed, those products in retiring colors are available while supplies last. Please see the chart below that details this. It also shows how other products with retiring colors will be handled.
